We welcome children, teens, and adults navigating life’s challenges. At Willow, we recognize that every journey is deeply personal. Rather than fitting you into a predefined approach, we take the time to listen—to truly understand your needs. Your first visit is an opportunity for us to explore the best therapeutic path for you, ensuring that the support you receive is as unique as your story. Willow was founded on the belief that healing is not one-size-fits-all, and we are honored to walk alongside you on your path to growth and resilience.

Trauma Sensitive Yoga
Trauma Center-Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) can have a positive impact on individuals struggling with complex trauma and chronic PTSD. This evidence-based intervention utilizes carefully adapted yoga techniques--focusing on breathwork, gentle movement, and mindful body awareness--to gently reconnect mind and body. TCTSY is deeply grounded in the understanding and healing of trauma. Instead of striving for physical perfection, the emphasis is entirely on your internal experience, fostering self-compassion and a renewed sense of agency.
Willow Counseling provider Nina O’Brien is a Registered Yoga Teacher and has completed training in TCTSY. Nina offers TCTSY within the individual therapy setting.

Trauma Focused Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (TF-EAP)
Trauma Focused Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (TF-EAP) envisions a world where connection is seen and felt in everything we do.
Horses, known for their gentle and intuitive nature, have a unique ability to mirror and respond to human emotions. They interact with people in an honest, nonjudgmental way, creating a safe space for healing and self-discovery.
For those who struggle to articulate their feelings, equine therapy offers a powerful alternative–allowing emotions to be expressed through the bond with a horse. Developing a healthy connection with a horse can enhance self-worth, self-awareness, and confidence. Additionally, those who find it difficult to trust others often experience a sense of connection, acceptance, and mutual respect with their horse. Through this therapeutic relationship, equine-assisted therapy fosters emotional healing and supports the development of healthy, meaningful connections in all areas of life.

Sand Tray Therapy
Sand tray therapy envisions a world where self-expression and healing emerge through creativity and connection.
Using a tray of sand and miniature figures, individuals create scenes that reflect their inner thoughts and emotions. This hands-on, nonverbal approach allows feelings to surface naturally, making it especially beneficial for those who struggle to articulate their experiences.
Through this process, clients gain insight, process trauma, and develop a greater sense of self-awareness. The therapist provides a supportive space, guiding individuals as they explore their emotions and experiences. By bringing their inner world to life in the sand, clients can foster healing, resilience, and personal growth.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) envisions a world where healing is possible by transforming the way past experiences are processed.
EMDR is a structured, evidence-based therapy that helps individuals reprocess distressing memories, reducing their emotional impact. Through guided eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation, the brain is encouraged to process traumatic experiences in a healthier way.
This approach is especially effective for those struggling with PTSD, anxiety, and other trauma-related challenges. By rewiring the brain’s response to past events, EMDR fosters emotional healing, resilience, and a renewed sense of control, empowering individuals to move forward with greater peace and clarity.
